Baby, it's cold outside

I remember as a child walking to school in the snow and having such a great time playing with my friends. Throwing snowballs, building snow huts getting so cold there was no feeling in our hands or feet. Now the kids get to stay home from school if a few flakes fall and heaven forbid they go outside and play in the cold wet white stuff. I have to admit I cringe at going to work now when the snow is falling. I find it very difficult to leave my nice warm bed but out I go. Sometimes I wish I was a kid again so I could just stay home and play.

As I was driving home I thought I would stop at the top of just one of the mountains I must endure to get to work. It dawned on me how many people that travel that same route really look at the beauty the valley has to offer. Nature never ceases to amaze and delight me. I must admit in the summer and fall it is truly breathtaking. Those will be future pics to look forward to.

A different kind of steaming

You can stream music, videos, data, etc,etc.etc. I personally like this kind of streaming. I like to find one of these off the beaten path streams and just listen to the water pouring over the rocks. It is a great place to relax and forget the everyday hassles, even if for a little while.

A different kind of streaming...

Chasing the winter chill

While the state is in a wintry mix and ice storm warning I thought I would look back at summer.
Ah, don't you wish this was a scratch and sniff screen?

Patients does have its good points

I was watching this elusive Monarch for a long time before he finally settled on this Aster bush. I took this picture in Halifax, PA. I would watch and wait for it to land. As I got closer it would take off again and fly in a big circle, when it knew I would leave, back it came. We played that game for a while until I didn't leave. Then I took the pics I wanted.

Scenes I have seen

I take my camera everywhere. You never know when that photo opportunity will present itself. So, with the encouragement of my sister, I am going to share some of the pics I have taken in my home state of Pennsylvania. Hope you enjoy them.
